‘Because #PenceKnew’: On Twitter #PresidentPelosi Is Trending
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has had quite the successful first two weeks (again.)
After fending off criticism from Democrats like Rep. Seth Moulton and being elected Speaker, Pelosi invited President Trump to deliver the State of the Union Address, only to pull that invitation in a jaw-dropping moment of brilliance as he continues to refuse to re-open the federal government.
Under her leadership the House has passed numerous bills to fund closed agencies, including Homeland Security, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell refuses to allow his caucus to vote on a single one.
As she continues to school President Trump and the GOP on what real leadership, expertise, and backbone look like, Pelosi’s approval ratings have skyrocketed – as the President’s crater even further.
“Pelosi is now more popular in Gallup polls than she has been in a decade,” The Washington Post notes, adding that her “favorability rating has increased by eight percentage points since Election Day in Civiqs’s tracking polls.”
The Speaker has accomplished what no other in modern times has been able to do: be effective, respected, and lead.
All of which, in addition to the news that President Trump told Michael Cohen to lie to Congress, has led to “#PresidentPelosi” trending on Twitter.
Take a look, and enjoy:
I think @SpeakerPelosi should just wait a few weeks and travel to Afghanistan in her new plane. #PresidentPelosi pic.twitter.com/ZlLnOLcUvW

Putin picked Trump.
Manafort picked Pence.
All crimes will be exposed.
The next time Speaker Pelosi goes to the oval office I hope she brings a tape measure and LITERALLY starts to measure curtains in front of Trump.#PresidentPelosi https://t.co/5f54aMFIMP— Steve Marmel (@Marmel) January 18, 2019
