Trump: ‘It’s a Disgrace What’s Happening in Our Country. But Other Than That I Wish Everybody a Very Merry Christmas’

President Trump told reporters Christmas morning, “It’s a disgrace what’s happening in our country. But other than that, I wish everybody a very Merry Christmas.”

The President took the opportunity of the Christmas holiday to attack Democrats for opposing his border wall. Trump has shut down the federal government, and won’t allow it to be re-opened until he gets $5 billion to build a wall on the U.S. border with Mexico. He also railed against Democrats for attacking him for firing FBI Director Jim Comey.

The President also reminded the media that he “wasn’t able to be with” his family for Christmas, that he “thought it would be wrong” for him to be with his family.

“My family’s in Florida — Palm Beach. And I just didn’t want to go down and be there when other people are hurting. But it’s gonna all work out.”

On Monday, Trump took to Twitter to lament, “I am all alone (poor me) in the White House.”
