The 100-story luxury Trump Tower Moscow – negotiations for which didn’t end until June of 2016 – would have featured a $50 million penthouse. The Trump Organization was planning on giving it to Russian President Vladimir Putin as a gift.
Buzzfeed News broke the story Thursday evening, citing four people, “one of them the originator of the plan.”
Michael Cohen, who pleaded guilty to lying to Congress earlier today, in a plea agreement with Robert Mueller, “discussed the idea” of gifting the $50 million luxury penthouse “with a representative of Dmitry Peskov, Putin’s press secretary.”
