But another tweet is getting a lot of attention, especially for its curious wording.
Last week Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell coined a new phrase for what Democrats will be able to do now that they have won the House. Instead of calling the constitutional system of checks and balances "oversight," the Kentucky Republican referred to it as "presidential harassment."
One week later, Trump has now grabbed on to that phrase and is using it to defend himself – and change the viewpoint of his supporters.
"The prospect of Presidential Harassment by the Dems is causing the Stock Market big headaches!" Trump tweeted later Monday morning.
That's false on every level.
"Stock-market analysts have attributed factors including the Fed’s interest-rate strategy and Trump’s own trade wars for the recent stock-market volatility," MarketWatch, a respected financial news outlet, reports.
On social media, many were quick to correct and mock the president, including Business Insider's founder:
No, Mr. President. What is causing the stock market "headaches" is rising interest rates, rising recession risk, your ballooning deficit, your trade war, and the end of your tax-cut crack hit. https://t.co/M6HJuGE1lw

Oh, this one is rich. A very scared man.
How do you know it’s not the prospect of the president interfering in the FL election?
Or maybe it’s the same slump that’s been going on for months under your watch? https://t.co/o1FNYskRLz

A man notorious for sexual assault shouldn't be trying to make "Presidential Harassment" happen. https://t.co/HGfh8hQVeJ

We know the reasons for the correction that is just beginning. A negative earnings outlook, rising interest rates, global trade friction and supply chain disruptions. You affected ALL of that. Manipulating the market with a tweet like this is also illegal. #IMPEACH https://t.co/wxhhRTWxTj

"Presidential Harassment" = basic oversight of the executive branch https://t.co/vctxLq2osh
