FBI to Interview Dr. Christine Blasey Ford – But Not About Kavanaugh
Democrats Officially Request FBI Director ‘Investigate Potential Federal Crimes Against Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’
The FBI will interview Dr. Christine Blasey Ford Friday afternoon in San Francisco, but agents are not expected to bring up her allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
According to New York Times congressional reporter Sheryl Gay Stolberg, the flood of death threats she’s been sent will be the topic of discussion.

The visit appears to be in response to Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee formally asking the FBI to intervene, and citing violations of federal law, including witness intimidation.
“As members of the Judiciary Committee, with oversight over the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), we are requesting immediate action by the Bureau to investigate potential federal crimes against Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, which appear intended to intimidate a witness in relation to the Supreme Court nomination hearing of Judge Brett Kavanaugh,” Democrats on the Committee said in a letter to Director Christopher Christopher Wray.
“We are increasingly concerned by reports of alleged death threats against her, the hacking of her email, and the harassment and intimidation she has faced since being forced into the spotlight late last week.”
Senator Mazie Hirono (D-HI) earlier this week on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow” had called on the FBI to investigate the death threats, saying the Bureau should do its job and investigate.
