Trump Revokes Security Clearance of Top White House Critic: ‘Erratic’ Former CIA Director John Brennan

Sarah Huckabee Sanders has just announced President Donald Trump has revoked the security clearance of one of his top critics, former CIA Director John Brennan.

Also under review are the security clearances of other mostly former DOJ officials, including some Trump critics. Among them: Jim Comey, Andrew McCabe, James Clapper, Michael Hayden, Sally Yates, Susan Rice, Bruce Ohr, and Peter Strzok. Ohr is a current federal employee.

Monday night MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow posted a list of all the agents at the FBI who Jim Comey spoke to about his contemporaneous memos detailing his conversations with President Trump. All but one have been fired or have resigned. Three of the seven names on that list Huckabee Sanders says are under review.

The revocation of Brennan’s clearance appears to be an act of political retribution. MSNBC’s Katy Tur says the move is an attempt to get Omarosa out of the news cycle.
