In a stunning Monday morning interview with Good Morning America, Donald Trump’s longtime personal attorney Michael Cohen said he puts “family and country” first — a far cry from a previous claim by the president’s fixer that he’d take a bullet for him.
Immediately, speculation began to stir that Trump’s heavily-scrutinized personal lawyer may have already flipped on the president.
“Is Michael Cohen singing a new tune on cooperating with feds?” CNN’s Jeff Zeleny mused after the George Stephanopoulos interview aired.
Is Michael Cohen singing a new tune on cooperating with feds? “To be crystal clear, my wife, my daughter and my son, and this country have my first loyalty,” Trump’s longtime fixer tells @GStephanopoulos

National security lawyer Bradley P. Moss, meanwhile, noted the most important aspects of the Cohen interview, including that he will no longer be sharing documents with the president’s legal team.
“Tick tock,” the lawyer wrote.
Key takeaways so far from Cohen’s talk to @GStephanopoulos —
No more joint defense agreement with Trump.
Cohen declined to answer if Trump knew about Trump Tower meeting in advance
Cohen changed his tune and made clear his loyalty is to his family, not Trump.

THANK YOU @GStephanopoulos for your incredible reporting and the #BREAKINGNEWS that Michael Cohen is no longer going to “take a bullet” for Trump, that his family and his *country* are his first priority now. He will tell all when he gets his new lawyer and the timing is advised.

I’m guessing that Michael Cohen won’t be spending July 4th with Donald Trump
— Roland Scahill (@rolandscahill) July 2, 2018
Right now Giuliani, Trump, and Hannity are in a room somewhere trying to decide whether to paint Michael Cohen as a pedophile, drug addict, or mobster.

Michael Cohen ‘Feeling Abandoned’ – Has Been Notified He’s About to Be Arrested: Report
Longtime Donald Trump confidante Michael Cohen has received word from federal prosecutors that they are preparing to arrest the New York City lawyer, MSNBC’s Katy Tur reported Wednesday.
