FOOD FIGHT?
Wendy’s Is Totally Trolling IHOP’s ‘IHOb’ Flip – and It’s Awesome
For weeks IHOP, once known as the International House of Pancakes, has been running what was a pretty good marketing campaign. The company claimed it was changing its name after 60 years, from IHOP to IHOb. And to generate excitement, they refused to say what the “b” was going to stand for.
Many assumed it was just going to be “breakfast.” And for many that would have been fine.
Dear Internet, we abbreciate your batience. Now let’s see who guessed right. B-hold!!!!! #IHOb pic.twitter.com/Fh3SkZ7s3Y

But it turns out, the “b” now stands for “burgers.”
Enter Wendy’s, who definitely was not going to let this opportunity go by.
When one podcast host challenged the Ohio-based burger joint, they kept into action.
Not really afraid of the burgers from a place that decided pancakes were too hard.

And then there was this excellent tweet also trolling “IHOb”:
Remember when you were like 7 and thought changing your name to Thunder BearSword would be super cool?
Like that, but our cheeseburgers are still better.— Wendy’s (@Wendys) June 11, 2018
Whoever is running Wendy’s social media deserves a raise:
Ok, so maybe we picked an actual dope name for our joke

Just keeping it real

We were thinking of jumping on the #IHOb bandwagon and changing our name to Bark University, but people would think we’re a college for dogs which would be… kind of awesome, actually? #BarkU @IHOb @Wendys pic.twitter.com/9ecSSYre8L

Dog college sounds ruff

But in the end, it’s all good:
