President Announces Date He Will Announce New Supreme Court Nominee

President Donald Trump has announced the date he will announce his Supreme Court pick: July 9. He reportedly has five finalists and will narrow the list down to one by that date.
The date is important. It’s just before he leaves to travel to Europe, where he has already violated decades of diplomacy, and then will move on to Helsinki to meet with Russian president Vladimir Putin.
White House press pool reporters say Trump made the announcement aboard Air Force One, and said “he has narrowed his list down to 5 (including 2 women). Will interview 1 or 2 candidates this weekend in NJ.”
Democrats may try to block any Trump SCOTUS nominee.
