Sarah Huckabee Sanders‘ credibility is at its lowest point ever. On March 7 she told reporters: “There was no knowledge of any payments by the president’ on the payment to Stormy Daniels.
But President Trump’s new attorney, Rudy Giuliani, on Fox News Wednesday night told a very different tale. He admitted that President Trump reimbursed his personal attorney Michael Cohen for the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, which makes Huckabee Sanders’ statement in March false.
Outside the White House Thursday morning, reporters angry they had been lied to cornered the press secretary as she tried to enter the building. And they demanded answers.
She refused to provide them.
“This is something we at the White House can’t comment on, and I would refer you to [Giuliani’s] comments and the president’s tweets from earlier this morning,” CNN’s Manu Raju noted via Twitter.
