The NRA is now going after Joy Reid. In a disturbing four-minute diatribe NRA TV’s Dan Bongino Monday night called the MSNBC host a “pathetic, sorry ass far-left” person and used a thinly-veiled analogy that appeared to suggest she should die for something that matters.
“When pathetic, sorry ass far-left organizations and people like Joy Reid attack us ruthlessly with the most horrific, disgusting tweets and then the minute you say something back, automatically she is gonna jump right into the identity politics black hole,” Bongino said in a video (below) posted to Twitter by the NRA.
“This is snowflake victim culture,” Bongino, a three-time losing GOP candidate, says in the NRA TV video. “This is what they do: they attack ruthlessly,” he said, referring to “a series of ridiculous, absurd, outrageous Joy Reid tweets ruthlessly attacking the NRA and its members.”
Bongino interrupted himself to declare, “the NRA is not about guns. It’s about rights – OK? There’s a difference.”
He goes on to say, “Joy, get lost. You live on the ideological side of the fence where a guy showed up at a baseball field and mowed down a lot of Republicans, OK?” He insisted that he wasn’t blaming her for that attack.
After crying about Reid’s “ruthless” tweets Bongino tells his viewers, “I despise weakness. I do. I despise it in any form: physical, emotional, mental.”
Bongino then told Reid she needs “to be part of the Spartan culture,” and embrace their motto: “With it or on it.” Bongino said that means, “You come back from war with your shield or on it.”
Coming back on your shield means “you died for something that mattered,” Bongino explained, talking directly to Reid.
“You know, be a little more ‘Spartan,’ Joy. Stop being such a victim all the time. Nobody’s inciting violence – nobody’s even insinuating that anyone else should incite violence,” Bongino claimed.
(NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch has been accused of inciting violence – or coming close to calling for violence – in her disturbing NRA videos.)
