Trump Throws Tantrum Over ‘Untruthful Slime Ball’ Comey: ‘He Should Be Prosecuted’
President Donald Trump waited little more than 12 hours after excerpts of Jim Comey’s unreleased memoir leaked to the press to attack the former FBI Director he once praised.
Trump Friday morning accused Comey of being a “LEAKER & LIAR,” “weak,” an “untruthful slime ball,” and “a terrible Director of the FBI.”
James Comey is a proven LEAKER & LIAR. Virtually everyone in Washington thought he should be fired for the terrible job he did-until he was, in fact, fired. He leaked CLASSIFIED information, for which he should be prosecuted. He lied to Congress under OATH. He is a weak and…..

The New York Times offered this insight into Comey’s book:
“This president is unethical, and untethered to truth and institutional values,” Mr. Comey writes in the book, saying his service to Mr. Trump recalled for him the days when he investigated the mob in New York. “The silent circle of assent. The boss in complete control. The loyalty oaths. The us-versus-them worldview. The lying about all things, large and small, in service to some code of loyalty that put the organization above morality and above the truth.”

Late Saturday a former adviser to President Ronald Reagan and both Presidents George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush warned that he has observed Donald Trump becoming more erratic and unstable since entering the Oval Office — he then urged Americans to “pray for our country.”
Taking to Twitter after a full day of Trump tweets attacking his foes left and right, Peter Wehner, a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, issued a dark appraisal of the commander-in-chief.
“Mr. Trump was emotionally/psychologically unwell when he became president. His condition is clearly worsening. He’s becoming more volatile, erratic and unstable. At some point he’s going to blow apart. When he does it’ll create a crisis,” Wehner wrote, before adding, “This won’t end well. Pray for our country.”
MSNBC host Joe Scarborough retweeted the comment and seconded the sentiment, writing, “Anyone who has known Trump for years, and doesn’t have a stake in his political career or the GOP, says the same. He is unwell and has been getting progressively worse over the past 18 months.”
Wehner recently appeared on CNN and lashed out at Trump’s defenders, telling host Brooke Baldwin: “With these people, there’s no bottom when it comes to defending Donald Trump.”

The chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence is calling for former Secretary of State John Kerry to be the very first person ever arrested under a constitutionally dubious 1799 law.
Congressman Devin Nunes (R-CA) made his demand to imprison the former Massachusetts Democrat under the Logan Act, which could theoretically result in three year in federal prison.
The allegations followed a new Boston Globe report on former Secretary of State Kerry working to save the Iran nuclear deal.

Rep. Nunes retweeted the story, saying it was time to “Send in the G Men.”
“G Men” is short for “government men” and since 1935 has been used exclusively to refer to FBI special agents, the Bureau claims.

Only two indictments have ever been made under the Logan Act, with neither going to to trial.
