WHITE HOUSE
‘Meltdown’: After Cohen Raid Trump Is ‘Brooding and Fearful’

Today, President Donald Trump “spent much of the day brooding and fearful,” after his personal attorney’s offices, home, and even a hotel room were raided Monday. The New York Times reports Tuesday night the president is “near” a “meltdown,” according to two people close to the West Wing.
The FBI’s raids “have sent the president to new heights of outrage, setting the White House on edge,” the Times adds.
Those raids on Michael Cohen’s residences and businesses were conducted through the public corruption unit of the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office, by the FBI.
“Mr. Trump angrily told his advisers that people were trying to undermine him and that he wanted to get rid of three top Justice Department officials — Jeff Sessions, the attorney general; Rod J. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general who appointed Mr. Mueller; and Christopher A. Wray, the F.B.I. director — according to two people familiar with what took place,” the Times also reports.
