Kellyanne Conway Denies Comey ‘Swung’ Election to Trump After She Said He Did: ‘Add Sarcasm’

Kellyanne Conway has issued a terse and sharp denial that she told ABC News Monday morning Jim Comey “swung” the election for Donald Trump. Many have strongly suggested the polling numbers certainly make it appear that Comey’s late October announcement the FBI was investigating emails that appeared on a laptop shared by Anthony Weiner and Human Abedin cost Hillary Clinton the election.

“This guy swung an election,” Conway told ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos, while standing in the White House press briefing room while discussing partisan politics. “He thought the wrong person would win.”

Conway swung back on Twitter, insisting she was misunderstood.

But Conway’s admitting Comey’s actions turned the course of the election to her candidate is what’s making headlines.
