Avenatti: Cohen Wasn’t Just Trump’s Fixer – Negotiated Hush Money Deal for ‘Prominent’ GOP Donor

3:06 PM: See update below –

Michael Avenatti is accusing Michael Cohen of being a fixer, and not just for President Donald Trump. Cohen, whose residences and offices were raided by the FBI this week, negotiated the Stormy Daniels non-disclosure agreement that Avenatti says is invalid because Trump never signed it. Now Avenatti says Cohen, who is – or was, according to Avenatti – Trump’s personal attorney, negotiated a deal that silenced a woman who was forced by a GOP donor to have an abortion after he “impregnated” her.

The charge is all the more scandalous because Cohen is part of the Republican National Committee’s Finance leadership team. He was appointed National Deputy Finance Chairman of the RNC, in April, 2017, according to an announcement issued by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and then-RNC Finance Chairman Steve Wynn. Wynn, a major GOP donor, resigned from the RNC after tremendous pressure and outrage over dozens of allegations of sexual misconduct.

That RNC announcement brags that Cohen “sat on the boards of multiple Trump organizations, including Trump Productions, the Eric Trump Foundation, and the Miss Universe Organization. In addition to raising millions of dollars for his campaign, Mr. Cohen has been an active spokesperson and advisor for the President during his interest in seeking office since 2011.”

Avenatti Thursday night on CNN announced Cohen is seeking to delay the Stormy Daniels case and intends to plead the Fifth.
