Trump Politicizes French Officer’s Death: ‘Build WALL Through M!’

Donald Trump began his latest weekend tweetstorm at 6:10 on Sunday morning, opting to politicize France’s Lt. Col. Arnaud Beltrame’s death and tout the need for a border wall in the United States.

“France honors a great hero. Officer died after bravely swapping places with hostage in ISIS related terror attack,” Trump tweeted. “So much bravery around the world constantly fighting radical Islamic terrorism. Even stronger measures needed, especially at borders!”

As CNN has reported, French authorities have indicated that the Beltrame, the police officer who switched places with a hostage during an attack by an ISIS supporter in southern France, has died from his wounds.

The president then turned to the recently-signed spending bill, touting that “because of the $700 & $716 Billion Dollars gotten to rebuild our Military, many jobs are created and our Military is again rich. Building a great Border Wall, with drugs (poison) and enemy combatants pouring into our Country, is all about National Defense,” he continued. “Build WALL through M!”

M likely means “military” in this scenario. Which isn’t Mexico, as Trump infamously promised throughout his campaign.

“Much can be done with the $1.6 Billion given to building and fixing the border wall,” Trump continued. “It is just a down payment. Work will start immediately. The rest of the money will come – and remember DACA, the Democrats abandoned you (but we will not)!”

Donald Trump ended DACA.
