“Please tell us why and what you were doing hanging around all those locker rooms, Joe?”
David A. Clarke, the former Milwaukee County sheriff who resigned after several scandals including an allegation of plagiarism and claiming he was joining the Trump administration, Wednesday afternoon attacked former Vice President Joe Biden with a tasteless anti-gay “joke” on Twitter.
Clarke, a staunch Trump supporter and former surrogate, decided to post a link to an article titled, “Joe Biden: I would have ‘beat the hell out of’ Trump in high school,” from the conservative Washington Times to Twitter. The article reads, in part:
“A guy who ended up becoming our national leader said, ‘I can grab a woman anywhere and she likes it,'” Mr. Biden told the crowd. “They asked me if I’d like to debate this gentleman, and I said ‘no.’ I said, ‘If we were in high school, I’d take him behind the gym and beat the hell out of him.’
“I’ve been in a lot of locker rooms my whole life,” he continued. “I’m a pretty damn good athlete. Any guy that talked that way was usually the fattest, ugliest S.O.B. in the room.”
Biden of course was referring to the right wing propaganda machine’s false claim that Trump’s “grab them” remarks and bragging about sexual assault was just “locker-room talk.”
Clarke responded with a crude, homophobic, and vulgar “joke,” tweeting, “Really Joe? Please tell us why and what you were doing hanging around all those locker rooms, Joe? Taking in the sights? Did the soap keep falling out of your hands Joe? Huh? Tell us Joe. #MAGA.”
Clarke came under fire last month by Parkland student survivor David Hogg, who said to Clarke, “You disgust me,” for spouting an ignorant conspiracy theory about the school massacre that took 17 lives.
“Honestly. Seriously,” Hogg added. “We had friends that died there, and you’re trying to make this about you? You are absolutely disgusting, and you should be out there taking action, because we’re trying as hard as we can here, and we don’t deserve to be attacked by adults.”
In January Twitter temporarily locked Clarke’s account after he called for supporters to punch the “LYING LIB MEDIA.”
