‘MAKE THEM TASTE THEIR OWN BLOOD’: Twitter Locks Trump Surrogate’s Account After He Calls for Supporters to Punch ‘LYING LIB MEDIA’
Former Sheriff David Clarke Says ‘#Neverbackdown’ Then Backs Down
Former Milwaukee County Sheriff and Trump surrogate David Clarke has been on the rampage recently, after a local reporter dug up a search warrant showing he was under investigation by the FBI. The warrant was related to a charge made by a 24-year old man whose “crime” was to see Clarke on his flight, ask him if he indeed was Sheriff Clarke, then walk away, shaking his head.Â
That literally was the extent of the incident that prompted Sheriff Clarke to contact his deputies to instruct them to question the man, who has since filed suit. One text shown in the warrant says Clarke told his deputies to not arrest the man “unless he becomes an asshole.”
So outraged was Sheriff Clarke that the news reported the warrant – he says the FBI sent his attorney a letter stating he is no longer under investigation – that he went ballistic on Twitter, far surpassing his usual angry and ugly rhetoric.
“BREAKING NEWS! When LYING LIB MEDIA makes up FAKE NEWS to smear me, the ANTIDOTE is go right at them,” he tweeted. “Punch them in the nose & MAKE THEM TASTE THEIR OWN BLOOD. Nothing gets a bully like LYING LIB MEDIA’S attention better than to give them a taste of their own blood #neverbackdown.”
According to several people who reported Clarke’s tweet to Twitter, his account was locked until he removed that tweet. CNN reports Clarke was instructed to remove two others as well, and could not post to his account until he did so.
One of the tweets Clarke was ordered to remove showed an image of three wrestlers, one with Clarke’s face. He is depicted kicking another wrestler whose face was replaced with a CNN logo. The third wrestler was “President Trump,” holding back “CNN.”
Clarke also apparently had to remove one that said Twitter had ruled he had not violated their terms of service.
Winning against LYING LIB MEDIA and Whiney SNOWFLAKES again. Like @realDonaldTrump said, we’ll win so much we’ll get tired of winning. Not yet however. Diaper wearing lefty didn’t like my metaphor reference to punching LYING LIB MEDIA in the nose. Twitter said no violation. Duh.
Clarke, who has a history of making racist and anti-LGBT statements, apparently chose to “back down” and was tweeting Tuesday morning.
I will NOT be Intimidated into silence by LYING LIB MEDIA. I will NOT be intimidated by LIBERAL hyper partisan government HACKS who weaponize government authorirty to go after people whose views they don’t like. I will STAND AND FIGHT for TRUTH & what I believe is RIGHT. JOIN ME. pic.twitter.com/8yLEQvRSpX
