Omarosa’s ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Act Leads White House to Admit It’s Just a Reality TV Show
‘This Is the Fourth Time We’ve Let Her Go’
The White House on Thursday admitted it’s just a reality TV show. Asked about comments made by Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former White House Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison, on “Celebrity Big Brother,” deputy press secretary Raj Shah distanced the Trump administration from Omarosa.
“Omarosa was fired three times on ‘The Apprentice.’ And this is the fourth time we’ve let her go. She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now,” Shah told reporters Thursday afternoon.
Raj Shah: “Omarosa was fired three times on The Apprentice. And this is the 4th time we’ve let her go. She had limited contact with the president while here. She has no contact now.â€
One has to ask, why was Omarosa hired then? (Clip via FOX) pic.twitter.com/7KRxkL8bPG

“This is the fourth time we’ve let her go,” clearly was a prepared remark Shah read from the podium, and while it might sound cute, it speaks to the fact that the Trump administration apparently sees itself as an extension of the president’s prior reality TV show personna.
The White House previously had stated Omarosa resigned, and she was paid for nearly a month after leaving her job.
In a promotional clip of “Celebrity Big Brother,” Manigault-Newman says, “I was haunted by tweets every single day,” speaking of the president’s often embarrassing, caustic, or war-mongering missives.
“It’s not going to be OK. It’s not. It’s so bad,” she also says.
