Twitter Torches Trump for Dismissal of ‘Mere’ Domestic Abuse Allegations, Calls for Due Process
“Irony Has Nine Livesâ€
Donald Trump opted to defend the two White House officials who have resigned this week amid credible allegations of domestic violence, citing his concern for due process and the lack of recovery for those “falsely accused.â€
“Peoples lives are being shattered and destroyed by a mere allegation,†the president wrote. “Some are true and some are false. Some are old and some are new. There is no recovery for someone falsely accused – life and career are gone. Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?â€
Twitter wasn’t having it.
In point of fact, 2 ex-wives talking on the record to journalists and to the FBI and one ex-girlfriend on background, with a photo of a black eye and a police report, is not “a mere allegation.†https://t.co/yummWOW4qZ

I’m old enough to remember this tweet 14 minutes earlier in which you repeated a mere allegation. Good times. Good times. So very long ago. https://t.co/Jdqw5A7wQn

You demanded the death penalty for five black teens off a mere allegation—even after clear evidence exonerated them
Now you defend grown white men who violently abused multiple women— even after after clear evidence of abuse https://t.co/cCVIMNTlNV

There’s this very powerful guy who routinely smears people by mere allegation on Twitter. Can’t quite remember his name. It’ll come to me. https://t.co/I2o3AERMIh

You falsely alleged that Ted Cruz’s Dad plotted to kill JFK and that Obama was born in Kenya and later wiretapped you. Those weren’t “mere allegationsâ€; they were lies. Where was your reverence for due process then? https://t.co/IDIXWBWUs3

The person who spent an entire campaign egging on “LOCK HER UP†chants is now very concerned about due process.

Trump wants “due process” for men who serially abuse women, but took out a full page ad demanding the death penalty for the innocent Central Park Five. pic.twitter.com/srYmlVsAVN

Since this isn’t a standard you used for black teenagers who were wrongly accused of rape, I’m going to go ahead and think you really care about due process when it’s men accused of rape or assault. –> Women of America, I hope you’re paying attention. https://t.co/7iKXYtpLQf

Remember when you accused Obama of illegally wiretapping you? Remember when you accused democrats of rigging the elections? Remember when you said Obama was born in Kenya? This certainly wasn’t “DUE PROCESS”.
