It’s On – Trump’s Military Parade Now Has a Date Scheduled
‘We’re Going to Display Our Military’ Trump Promises
President Donald Trump’s $30 million vanity parade is marching forward. The Commander-in-Chief has been obsessed with holding a military parade, like the ones authoritarian regimes hold to show how powerful they are. Last year, he ordered the Pentagon to look into planning one.
National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster has sent a memo to Secretary of Defense James Mattis directing Trump’s parade to be held on Veteran’s Day, Politico now reports. Veteran’s Day is observed on November 11 of every year.
Last year Trump said, “we’re going to show the people as we build up our military, we’re going to display our military,†suggesting this is all about creating the perception of strength.
