Dana Loesch: NRA Isn’t a Lobbyist Group. Internet: LOL, Um, Yes It Is, Here’s Proof.

Calls NRA ‘A Fellowship Organization of Gun Owners’

National Rifle Association spokesperson Dana Loesch is insisting the organization she represents is not a lobbyist group, so the internet decided to school her.

On Sunday Loesch jumped into a Twitter conversation attacking a woman who tweeted that “the represents manufacturers not gun owners!” After a back-and-forth, Loesch posted this rather ignorant response, saying the NRA is a “fellowship organization of gun owners” and calling the NRA a lobbyist group is “smearing” them.

The NRA, in fact, is a lobbyist group that likes to pretend it’s all about its dues-paying members when in reality it’s a consortium go firearms manufacturers working to stop any law or regulation that could cause less sales for the manufacturers it represents. That’s why it’s called the “gun lobby.”

Loesch received quick pushback.
