Trump Helps DC Bookstore Sell Out of Incendiary Book About Trump by Tweeting About It an Hour Before It Goes on Sale
Sells Out in 15 Minutes
Michael Wolff’s bombshell tell-all about the Trump White House is so incendiary his publishers received a cease an desist letter from the president’s personal attorney demanding they not put it on sale. So they did, four days early. “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” officially went on sale at midnight, and it had the best advertising campaign in modern times: little to none, except for a few excerpts in several media outlets, and President Donald Trump tweeting it’s “full of lies” an hour before people could buy it.
I authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book! I never spoke to him for book. Full of lies, misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist. Look at this guy’s past and watch what happens to him and Sloppy Steve!

That’s what Trump tweeted at 10:52 PM Thursday night.
There was a line to buy the book – in a snowstorm:
Confirmed, there’s a line here at Kramerbooks. Book drops at midnight. Only about 14 people in line right now, but more at the bar. I’m 7th in line, FYI.

“Dozens upon dozens of political obsessives lined up inside a bookstore in the nation’s capital just before midnight on Friday to be among the first to own a copy of an explosive new book about the Trump administration that President Donald Trump didn’t want them to read,” HuffPost reported.
The Weekly Standard posted this time-lapse video of the book selling out at a DC bookstore, Kramer Books:
