Pakistan Is Pissed and They’re Not Taking Any of Donald Trump’s ‘Invective & Mistrust’

Trump Attacked Pakistan in His First Tweet of the New Year

President Donald Trump kicked off the New Year not by wishing people around the world peace, joy, or happiness, but by posting a tweet attacking a nuclear power, Pakistan.

In return, Pakistan has just hit back in at least five separate tweets. They basically accused Trump of lying, and announced their country is not going to take any of the American president’s nastiness.

The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years,” Trump tweeted Monday morning, “and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!”

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister announced he would be responding shortly, while suggesting Trump is lying:

The official Twitter account for the Government of Pakistan posted these tweets in response:

And according to The Hill, Khurram Dastgir Khan, the Minister of Defense for Pakistan, defended his country, explaining the nation of nearly 210 million mostly Muslim people has actually given America a great deal, and in return America has given them “nothing but invective & mistrust.”
