Pakistan Is Pissed and They’re Not Taking Any of Donald Trump’s ‘Invective & Mistrust’
Trump Attacked Pakistan in His First Tweet of the New Year
President Donald Trump kicked off the New Year not by wishing people around the world peace, joy, or happiness, but by posting a tweet attacking a nuclear power, Pakistan.Â
In return, Pakistan has just hit back in at least five separate tweets. They basically accused Trump of lying, and announced their country is not going to take any of the American president’s nastiness.Â
“The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years,” Trump tweeted Monday morning, “and they have given us nothing but lies & deceit, thinking of our leaders as fools. They give safe haven to the terrorists we hunt in Afghanistan, with little help. No more!”
Pakistan’s Foreign Minister announced he would be responding shortly, while suggesting Trump is lying:
We will respond to President Trump’s tweet shortly inshallah…Will let the world know the truth..difference between facts & fiction..

The official Twitter account for the Government of Pakistan posted these tweets in response:
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting has said that the #UnitedStates should not put blames for its failure in #Afghanistan on Pakistan.
She further said that #Pakistan has rendered unmatched sacrifices in the war against# terrorism and there is no ambiguity about it pic.twitter.com/u76OBadmtJ— Govt of Pakistan (@pid_gov) January 1, 2018
Hitting back at the #US the Foreign Office had also warned against the malicious campaign being used to trivialize Pakistan’s achievements in the war against terrorism. The foreign office said allies do not put each other on notice. pic.twitter.com/fbhLuClU6O

In a strong worded reaction to earlier #US accusations and allegations the Pakistan Army spokesman, Major General Asif Ghafoor asserted that the aid Pakistan received from the US was “reimbursement for support Islamabad gave to the coalition for its fight against Al Qaeda.” pic.twitter.com/yzKmYbuOx0

And according to The Hill, Khurram Dastgir Khan, the Minister of Defense for Pakistan, defended his country, explaining the nation of nearly 210 million mostly Muslim people has actually given America a great deal, and in return America has given them “nothing but invective & mistrust.”
Pak as anti-terror ally has given free to US: land & air communication, military bases & intel cooperation that decimated Al-Qaeda over last 16yrs, but they have given us nothing but invective & mistrust. They overlook cross-border safe havens of terrorists who murder Pakistanis.
