Breaking: Report – Senate Has Enough Votes to Pass Bill to End Trump Shutdown

Democratic Senators Appear to Have Agreed to Trust McConnell’s DACA Promise

According to NBC News via CNBC a bipartisan agreement has been reached in the Senate to pass a bill that would end the Trump shutdown. The bill would allow the Senate to pass a short-term spending bill to fund the government through Feb. 8.

Based on recent events, the news means that some Senate Democrats have opted to accept Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s promise to allow a bill to fix DACA to come to the floor. Democrats have steadfastly insisted any end to the shutdown include legislation to fix DACA, which President Trump ended last year.

The House would also have to pass the bill and President Trump would still have to sign it.
