Trump Wishes ‘Enemies, Haters, and Even the Very Dishonest Fake News Media’ a Happy New Year
“The Presidency Doesn’t Change Who You Are, It Reveals Who You Are.† —Michelle Obama
Donald Trump returned to Twitter on Sunday to share his latest ridiculous New Year’s message with the world.
“As our Country rapidly grows stronger and smarter, I want to wish all of my friends, supporters, enemies, haters, and even the very dishonest Fake News Media, a Happy and Healthy New Year,†the President of the United States wrote. “2018 will be a great year for America!â€
As our Country rapidly grows stronger and smarter, I want to wish all of my friends, supporters, enemies, haters, and even the very dishonest Fake News Media, a Happy and Healthy New Year. 2018 will be a great year for America!

The message echoes his childish sentiments last year, which he made just before assuming the presidency:
Happy New Year to all, including to my many enemies and those who have fought me and lost so badly they just don’t know what to do. Love!

One Twitter user made note of the trend, which predates his role as a politician:
This is the second consecutive year, and fourth time in the last five years, Trump has addressed a New Year message to his “haters” or “enemies.” He was a normal human in 2015. pic.twitter.com/Sft0vW59BK

As Michelle Obama said: “The presidency doesn’t change who you are. It reveals who you are.â€
