FCC Votes to End Net Neutrality
Tremendous Hit to Freedom, Democracy, and Consumers’ Wallets
The Federal Communications Commission has just voted 3-2 along party lines to end net neutrality, an Obama-era policy that mandates equal access to the Internet. Internet providers will now be able to make access to certain Internet sites more expensive, block certain services, censor access to websites, make it more difficult to find out about and visit certain websites, and more.FCC chairman Ajit Pai condescendingly told reporters Thursday this would not end democracy.
Rolling back #NetNeutrality ” is not going to destroy the internet. It is not going to end the internet as we know it. It is not going to kill democracy,” FCC Chairman Ajit Pai says https://t.co/5setUrEYRR pic.twitter.com/4FHLxN8gb7

The FCC received two million comments in support of ending net neutrality that were falsified, including some made in the name of people who say they never registered a comment. It is believed Russia is behind the falsification.
