Trump Appears to Sexually Harass Senator Who Just Called for Him to Resign Over Allegations of Sexual Harassment and Assault

President Says Gillibrand “Would Come to My Office ‘Begging’ for Campaign Contributions Not So Long Ago (And Would Do Anything for Them)”

President Donald Trump Tuesday morning appeared to sexually harass and accuse a top Democratic Senator of being willing to perform sexual favors in exchange for campaign contributions. 

On Monday, Democratic U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand called on the president to resign immediately in response to the “numerous” and “credible” allegations of criminal sexual assault he is facing from at least 16 women. The New York Senator also said if Trump refuses to resign Congress must open an investigation into those allegations.

Tuesday morning Trump hit back hard, in a tweet that appears to be charging Gillibrand was willing to exchange sexual favors for campaign contributions.

Senator Gillibrand responds:

The language of Trump’s tweet, attacking and harassing a U.S. Senator in a most demeaning and provocative manner, is pure misogyny. Some on social media see Trump’s tweet as sexual harassment and abuse, while others see it as offering sexual favors for money, an accusation of prostitution:
