Trump Appears to Sexually Harass Senator Who Just Called for Him to Resign Over Allegations of Sexual Harassment and Assault
President Says Gillibrand “Would Come to My Office ‘Begging’ for Campaign Contributions Not So Long Ago (And Would Do Anything for Them)”
President Donald Trump Tuesday morning appeared to sexually harass and accuse a top Democratic Senator of being willing to perform sexual favors in exchange for campaign contributions.Â
On Monday, Democratic U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand called on the president to resign immediately in response to the “numerous” and “credible” allegations of criminal sexual assault he is facing from at least 16 women. The New York Senator also said if Trump refuses to resign Congress must open an investigation into those allegations.
Tuesday morning Trump hit back hard, in a tweet that appears to be charging Gillibrand was willing to exchange sexual favors for campaign contributions.
Lightweight Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, a total flunky for Chuck Schumer and someone who would come to my office “begging†for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them), is now in the ring fighting against Trump. Very disloyal to Bill & Crooked-USED!

Senator Gillibrand responds:
You cannot silence me or the millions of women who have gotten off the sidelines to speak out about the unfitness and shame you have brought to the Oval Office. https://t.co/UbQZqubXZv

The language of Trump’s tweet, attacking and harassing a U.S. Senator in a most demeaning and provocative manner, is pure misogyny. Some on social media see Trump’s tweet as sexual harassment and abuse, while others see it as offering sexual favors for money, an accusation of prostitution:
Also ironic: Trump’s defense against Gillibrand’s concerns over sexual harassment allegations is to sexually harass Gillibrand on Twitter.

Did trump just accuse Kirsten gillibrand of being a prostitute? https://t.co/6WD5yv5Yuu

What is Trump exactly insinuating that senator Gillibrand was willing to do for money? Even for him this is odd wording. https://t.co/qDrttpZyfY

Before reading his tweet, I thought it was an solid parody of Trump but thought the implication Gillibrand would give BJs for donations was a bit much for real Trump yet a nice touch for a parody. Alas… https://t.co/7r2tskhYf0

Hey mr. Trump are you implying that my senator tried to have sex with you for money? You seem to be brave with all of your accusations except with senator gillibrand or is this just something else you’re trying to make up to deflect and cover your own ass

Let’s not bury the lede here, Trump is implying Gillibrand offered sexual favors in exchange for contributions. Just when you think he couldn’t reach any lower. What a mess.

OMG, did trump just say that Senator Kristen Gillibrand begged him for contributions (and would do anything for them). What exactly is he implying. He has just dropped to a new low (if that is possible). I hope the world catches that remark.

“On the morning his party was about to lose a Senate seat in the deep South, Trump accused future President Gillibrand of being a prostitute for campaign contributions” is how I hope we remember today in 20 or 30 years.
