#ThingsITrustMoreThanFoxNews Continues Trending on Twitter After Trump’s Latest CNN Attack
“An Actual Fox Telling Me The Newsâ€
Donald Trump’s latest attack on CNN reignited the “Things I Trust More Than Fox News†hashtag on Saturday, which began trending late Friday after the outlet was forced to issue a correction.
“#ThingsITrustMoreThanFoxNews†hit Twitter Friday after Fox News was forced to update its reporting that embattled Senate hopeful Roy Moore’s accuser Beverly Young Nelson had forged his signature in the yearbook that he signed for her in 1977. She did not.
It began trending again early Saturday, and has continued into the afternoon, following the president’s tweet advising “Fake News CNN made a vicious and purposeful mistake yesterday.â€
“They were caught red handed, just like lonely Brian Ross at ABC News (who should be immediately fired for his “mistakeâ€),†he continued. “Watch to see if @CNN fires those responsible, or was it just gross incompetence?â€

“CNN’S slogan is CNN, THE MOST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS. Everyone knows this is not true, that this could, in fact, be a fraud on the American Public,†the President of the United States continued. “There are many outlets that are far more trusted than Fake News CNN. Their slogan should be CNN, THE LEAST TRUSTED NAME IN NEWS!â€

Trump’s tweets followed CNN’s report that he, his son Donald Trump Jr. and others in the Trump organization received an email offering a decryption key and website addressed for hacked WikiLeaks documents.
The outlet offered a correction on the story, detailed below by Senior Congressional Correspondent for CNN Manu Raju:
CORRECTION: Email to Trump and Trump Jr. from individual offering Wikileaks documents came Sept. 14 — not Sept. 4 — as we reported earlier. Email pointed to docs Trump camp could get publicly. https://t.co/4FOdCebgQL

#ThingsITrustMoreThanFoxNews took over from there:
As Trump attacks @CNN for getting a single date wrong, remember, @FoxNews reported:
– Obama was born in Kenya
– Seth Rich was killed by Hillary Clinton
– Hillary sold Uranium to the Russians
– Roy Moore’s signature was forged#satchat #ThingsITrustMoreThanFoxNews #SaturdayMorning— Ed Krassenstein (@EdKrassen) December 9, 2017
