WATCH: Trump Openly Promotes Bedminster Golf Course During Speech to South Korea National Assembly
Clear, Unadulterated Example of Trump Using His National Office for Personal Financial Gain
President Donald Trump openly promoted his Bedminster golf course during a formal, official speech he delivered in Seoul to the South Korea National Assembly Tuesday night.
The president is on a 12 day tour of Asia, traveling to Japan, China, South Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines. He was late for his speech to South Korea lawmakers, with news reports starting he was still working on his speech 20 minutes after he Wass supposed to begin its delivery. That did not stop him from tweeting an attack on a Virginia Republican gubernatorial candidate he endorsed who lost.
Delivering an official speech to a foreign government also did not stop Trump from promoting his Bedminster, New Jersey golf course during the speech.
“Korean golfers are some of the best on Earth,†Trump told South Korean lawmakers. “In fact, and you know what I’m going to say, the Women’s U.S. Open was held this year at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., and it just happened to be won by a great Korean golfer.”
This is a clear, unadulterated example of Trump using his national office for personal financial gain.
