Watch: 16 Women Share Their Stories of How Donald Trump Sexually Assaulted or Harassed Them
‘He Groped Me. He Absolutely Groped Me.’
Every day more and more women are stepping forward to share their stories of being sexually assaulted and harassed by men – often men in positions of power. This week the U.S. House of Representatives revealed it has spent $15.2 million to settle charges of sexual assault and harassment against its members and employees. Meanwhile, the head of another branch of the federal government, President Donald Trump, before he became president, for years has faced accusations of sexually assaulting and harassing women. He has denied the allegations and before the election promised to sue his accusers once he was elected.
He never has.
In responding to questions about the allegations against Trump, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders late last month said it is the official position of the federal government that these women, all 16 of them, are liars.
Now, Brave New Films has created a short film chronicling the remarks of each of the 16 women who say Donald Trump sexually assaulted or harassed them. It’s just three and a half minutes, but powerful.
“This is serious,” Brave New Films says on its website. “Sexual harassment is pervasive and happens at the very top of the institutions that run this country. We owe it to all women to hold men, especially those with immense power, accountable for their actions. Yes, this includes the president too.”
“In the video, 16 Women and Donald Trump, we put together the stories of women who have reported being sexually harassed or sexually assaulted by Donald Trump. Seeing these women’s stories, one after another, is incredibly powerful – it’s time to listen and act accordingly.”
