Trump Blames Chuck Schumer for NYC Terror Attack After Watching Fired Former White House Advisor on ‘Fox & Friends’
But GOP Killed Schumer’s Immigration Reform Bill
President Donald Trump Wednesday morning, after watching a “Fox & Friends” segment blaming Tuesday’s terror attack in Manhattan on an immigration program once sponsored by Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer, took to Twitter and blamed Schumer too. The Fox News segment featured fired former Trump White House advisor Sebastian Gorka, who allegedly has ties to a neo-Nazi group.
“The terrorist came into our country through what is called the ‘Diversity Visa Lottery Program,’ a Chuck Schumer beauty. I want merit based,†Trump tweeted after this segment:
Trump just essentially blamed Chuck Schumer for the NYC terror attack. And, of course, it was moments after “Fox & Friends†did exactly the same. https://t.co/UFIH69Jcyb pic.twitter.com/dqECWBWlU2

It was the perfect example of how Rupert Murdoch and his Fox News/Wall Street Journal/NY Post empire is forging White House talking points and policy, which should worry all Americans.
But as Chris Lu, the former Deputy Secretary of Labor under President Barack Obama notes, Republicans – including current Attorney General Jeff Sessions – blocked Senator Schumer’s bill to eliminate the Diversity Visa Lottery Program:
