‘I Won’t Fail’
Perhaps in an effort to change the narrative from the federal government’s lackluster response to Puerto Rico and Donald Trump’s attacks on the island’s suffering Americans, the president again returned his Twitter fury to Kim Jong Un.
Early Sunday, Trump flirted with nuclear war, threatening that “we’ll do what needs to be done†in North Korea. He further instructed Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, on Twitter, that he was “wasting his time by trying to negotiate with Little Rocket Man†and to “save [his] energy.â€
Now, the president has advised that “being nice to Rocket Man hasn’t worked in 25 years.†He then inquired “why it would work now?†and claimed that Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama “failed.â€
“I won’t fail,†he asserted.
Of note: Kim Jong Un is 33 years old. Many on Twitter quickly pointed this fact out:

It isn’t the first time Americans have questioned if Donald Trump truly knew who the leader of North Korea was.Â
In April of this year, when asked if he was ruling out a military strike in the region, Trump told Fox & Friends’ Ainsley Earhardt that “they’ve been talking with this gentlemen for a long time.â€
“You read Clinton’s book, he said, ‘Oh, we made such a great peace deal,’ and it was a joke,†he continued. “You look at different things over the years with President Obama. Everybody has been outplayed, they’ve all been out played by this gentleman.Â
“And we’ll see what happens,†Trump concluded. “But I just don’t telegraph my moves.â€
