Scotland Yard Is Angry and Sees Trump’s Terror Tweet as an Attack on London Police

UK Officials Once Again Angered by US President

President Donald Trump has caused yet another international incident via Twitter. The U.S. president was quick to call Friday morning’s attack in the London tube terrorism, and immediately claimed the suspect was known to Scotland Yard.

Some wondered how Trump “knew” the suspect was known to Scotland Yard, and if he once again was revealing classified information from America’s closest ally.

Journalist Yashar Ali deduced what should have been obvious to all: Trump did not get the “intel” from U.S. or UK sources, but from Fox News:

London-based The Independent reports “Security sources tell The Independent ‘we don’t even know who the suspects are.'” 

And Keir Simmons, an English journalist who is a correspondent for NBC News and has covered major European terror attacks, took to Twitter Friday morning to say Scotland Yard is not pleased with Trump’s tweet:

British Prime Minister Theresa May blasted Trump’s tweet when asked specifically about it. “I never think it’s helpful for anybody to speculate on what is an ongoing investigation,” she told a reporter.

And Theresa May’s former chief of staff took to Twitter to also blast Trump, linking to the president’s offensive tweet:
