Trump’s Insane Twitter Attacks on Democratic Senator Continue: ‘Should Take a Nice Long Vacation in Vietnam’

Commander-in-Chief Ignores US Military Service Members’ Deaths

It started at 6:38 Monday morning. There were nine ridiculous tweets by 8:01. The rest of the day brought a few more tweets, and then, late Monday afternoon, a trio of tweets continuing President Donald Trump‘s attacks agains the “Fake News Media,” the “failing New York Times,” and U.S. Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal.

That came at 4:15 PM.

Let’s remember Trump is not a fan of the United Nations, so it’s unclear why he’s so interested in people applauding the resolution.

But the tweets continued.

Minutes after his UN tweet, Trump went after the “failing” New York Times (note: not failing.)

And then, minutes later, Democratic Sen. Blumenthal:

It’s important to note Sen. Blumenthal may appear to have misstated his service, but it was clear it was not intentional, and he received tremendous support from the people he served with. (Not the first time Trump has gone after Blumenthal, not the first time he’s lied about the Democrat from Connecticut either. Here’s the background.)

And the point is that Sen. Blumenthal did serve – Donald Trump chose to apply for and receive five deferments so he could get away with not serving in uniform.

President Trump of course is on vacation, despite his ridiculous denials.

No one is expecting to hear from the Commander-in-Chief, but as many have pointed out, the U.S. armed forces lost three Marines over the weekend near Australia.

Trump has said nothing, at least publicly.

Late Thursday, two U.S. soldiers were killed in Afghanistan.

Trump has said nothing, at least publicly.

But the Commander-in-Chief has all the time in the world to tweet about his frustrations.

Hardly presidential.
