Trump Calls for Apology for All the ‘Fake News’ Stories About Him
‘Where Is Their Apology to Me?’
President Donald Trump is asking for an apology for what he claims are the “fake news” stories about him.Â
Trump went of a bit of a Twitter rampage Tuesday morning, attacking the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals for once again upholding a lower court’s ruling that blocks his illegal Muslim travel ban, attacking former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and twice attacking the “Fake News Media.”
“The Fake News Media has never been so wrong or so dirty,” Trump tweeted before 7 AM Tuesday. “Purposely incorrect stories and phony sources to meet their agenda of hate. Sad!”
Later, at 8:48 AM EDT, Trump again attacked the media.
“Fake News is at an all time high,” he claimed. “Where is their apology to me for all of the incorrect stories???”

What Donald Trump calls “fake news,” is what most of the rest of the world calls facts.Â
Daniel Dale of the Toronto Star, who was embedded with the Trump campaign during the 2016 election, has continued to document every lie President Trump tells. As of Monday, the Toronto Star reports President Donald Trump has told 294 lies since taking the oath of office.
“Trump has steadily maintained an average of two false claims per day,” Dale reports.
Trump lies.
Comey calls him out on those lies (while under oath.)

The White House has stated clearly that President Trump’s tweets are official presidential statements, which means Trump is edging dangerous close to violating the First Amendment.
Trump also made clear what he thinks isn’t “fake news,” in a tweet following his call for an apology:
Heading to the Great State of Wisconsin to talk about JOBS, JOBS, JOBS! Big progress being made as the Real News is reporting.

UPDATE: 9:58 AM EDT –Â
The Washington Post as of June 5 reports “In 137 days, President Trump has made 623 false and misleading claims.”
