Liberty University President Said Trump ‘Lives a Life of Loving and Helping Others as Jesus Taught’ 

Donald Trump returns to Liberty University in Virginia this morning, this time to provide a commencement speech to the graduating class of the nation’s largest Christian evangelical college.

Trump has previously spoken at the university, which for good reason features prominently on Campus Pride’s list of schools that are the “absolute worst” for LGBTQ youth, having cited the book of “Two Corinthians” rather than “Second Corinthians.”

Liberty has a long history of racism, xenophobia and homophobia. Its president, Jerry Falwell, Jr., infamously said that “if more good people” had concealed-carry permits, they “could end those Muslims,” and endorsed Donald Trump for president last year.

“Donald Trump lives a life of loving and helping others as Jesus taught in the great commandment,” Falwell, Jr. said.
