President Barack Obama Warned Donald Trump to Not Hire Mike Flynn
More Proof Trump Ignored Warnings
President Barack Obama personally warned President-elect Donald Trump to not hire Mike Flynn. Flynn was fired by Obama, yet Donald Trump hired him as his National Security Adviser. Â
NBC News first reported the development, citing three Obama administration officials, stating the warning from President Obama came on November 10.
EXCLUSIVE: Obama warned Trump against hiring Flynn as national security adviser, three former Obama administration officials tell NBC News

For weeks President Trump has blamed President Obama and his administration for allowing Flynn to have a national security clearance. But Trump apparently doesn’t understand that the administration does not credential, the intelligence agencies do.Â
Trump, it was reported last week, was aware of Flynn’s ties to Russia and Turkey, yet opted to hire him anyway.
Former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, whom Trump fired, will testify before the Senate this afternoon on Flynn and Russia.
UPDATE –
Via NBC News:
It’s true that Flynn got his top level security clearance renewed in January 2016, but what Trump didn’t mention is that Flynn should have received a far more thorough vetting in advance of his becoming national security adviser, a job that allows access to the nation’s most closely-held secrets. What was the nature of that vetting, and did it raise any flags about Flynn’s lobbying work for Turkish interests during the campaign, or his paid appearance on behalf of Russian state media, both now under scrutiny by law enforcement agencies? The White House hasn’t said.Â
