‘Just Kill Me’: Disturbing New Video Shows United Passenger Bloodied After Being Forcibly Removed

‘Just Kill Me’ and ‘I Have to Go Home’ Distraught Passenger Says Repeatedly

A United passenger who was forcibly removed from a flight on Sunday to make room for airline employees needed for a flight the following day is now shown in a new video standing, apparently bleeding or bloodied, after being removed, and repeating over and over again, “Just kill me.” In another video, the man can be seen clutching cabin curtains, saying, “I have to go home,” still with blood covering his face.

The passenger’s name has not been released. He appears to be distraught.

The videos are disturbing and NCRM urges caution:

TIME reports the video was “posted on Twitter by Kaylyn Davis, who says her husband was on the overbooked flight on Sunday evening.”

Police reportedly released this statement, in which they take absolutely no responsibility nor do they explain why they chose to remove the passenger.

“Aviation Officers arrived on the scene attempted to carry the individual off of the flight when he fell,” the statement, published by TIME, says. “His head subsequently struck an armrest causing injuries to his face. The man was taken to Lutheran General with non-life threatening injuries.”

On social media, many were outraged with the forcible removal of the man, who, United says, was chosen by computer as one of four, after no one accepted the airline’s offer of up to $800 to take a flight the following day. Many were also outraged after United’s CEO apologized for having to “re-accomodate” the passenger.
