White House Takes Credit for Excellent Jobs Report – From Before Trump Became President

‘Report Reflects the Consumer Confidence That the Trump Presidency Has Inspired’

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer just announced President Donald Trump is responsible for the excellent jobs numbers a Labor Dept. report released Friday morning showed. The American economy added 227,000 jobs in January, an increase over December’s 157,000 jobs added.

The report comes from a survey taken in the second week of January – before Donald Trump was sworn in as president.

“The economy added more than 227,000 new jobs, significantly more than the 175,000 that had been expected.”

“Today’s report reflects the consumer confidence that the Trump presidency has inspired. According to a new Gallup poll economic confidence is a new high,” Spicer stated.

“His first-hand experience as a successful businessman continues to guide his decision-making,” Spicer continued.

Ironically, during the presidential campaign, Donald Trump claimed Labor Dept. stats are fake, and that unemployment was really at 20 percent.
