Ivanka Trump In 2006: My Father “Wears A Pink Bathrobe”
“Apprentice” Clip Casts Even More Doubt On White House Claim That President Doesn’t Own Or Wear A Bathrobe
Ivanka Trump said in a 2006 appearance on “The Apprentice” that her father wears a pink bathrobe, casting further doubt on the White’s House assertion that the president doesn’t even own a bathrobe. The above video posted to YouTube on Friday includes a clip of Ivanka Trump’s statement.Â
Press Secretary Sean Spicer demanded an apology this week after The New York Times’ Glenn Thrush and Maggie Haberman reported that President Donald Trump spends his nights in the White House watching TV in his bathrobe.Â
“That story was so riddled with inaccuracies and lies that they owe the president an apology for the way that thing was written,” Spicer told reporters. “There were literally blatant factual errors, and it’s unacceptable to see that kind of reporting. … I don’t think the president owns a bathrobe, and definitely doesn’t wear one.”Â
Thrush and Haberman had reported: “When Mr. Trump is not watching television in his bathrobe or on his phone reaching out to old campaign hands and advisers, he will sometimes set off to explore the unfamiliar surroundings of his new home.”
Spicer’s denial led to people flooding social media with old photos of Trump in bathrobes, and even a parody Twitter account, POTUS’ Bathrobe.
Here’s how folks were responding to the latest development:Â
