Trump Thinks Americans Who Are Registered in Two States Are Committing Voter Fraud. He’ll Need to Lock Up His Daughter.

President Donald Trump‘s lie that 3 to 5 million ballots were cast in the November election “illegally,” and the further false claim by his press secretary that fourteen percent of votes are made by non-citizens has led to a national crisis. These falsehoods have also led to demands the president call for an investigation into this supposed massive voter fraud, which 49 secretaries of state, and election experts have said does not exist.

So Trump Wednesday morning, possibly learning that his claims have zero factual basis, re-defined them, then called for an investigation into “voter fraud.”

Now included in the President’s definition of voter fraud: people who are registered in two states and those who are dead.

To be clear, it is not illegal to be registered in more than one state – although it is illegal to vote more than once. Also, to be clear, being registered in more than one state does not constitute voter fraud, and the dead being registered to vote does not constitute voter fraud. 

But if Trump thinks being registered in two states constitutes voter fraud, he’ll need to lock up his own daughter, and several members of his administration.

Tiffany Trump, daughter of Marla Maples and Donald Trump, is registered to vote in New York and Pennsylvania, according to a report from Heat Street.

NBC News confirmed the dual-state voting registration.

Also on the lock up list is Trump White House Senior Advisor Steve Bannon, the former Breitbart publisher, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune. Noting that Bannon is registered to vote in Florida, the newspaper reports “Bannon is also registered to vote in New York City, listing a home address on West 40th Street, and according to a spokesman for the New York State Board of Elections, he voted there in November by absentee ballot.”

Bannon is not the only Trump White House official who will need to be put in irons.

Trump Treasury Secretary nominee Steven Mnuchin is registered to vote in two states, New York and California, CNN reports. 

CNN also notes that Bannon was “removed” from the Florida voter rolls Wednesday.

Wonder why?…

Bringing this report to an end, we should wonder why it is that the President of the United States is unable to understand basic facts that anyone with a third-grade reading ability can understand.

Voter registration is not voter fraud. 

Being registered to vote in more than one state is not voter fraud.

In fact, “Nearly 7 million Americans in 28 states are registered to vote in two or more states (not including California, Texas or Florida), according to a 2014 Watchdog.org report,” McClatchy reports.

Now, President Trump, exactly who are the 3 – 5 million people who voted “illegally”?
