Turnout for Saturday’s anti-Trump Women’s March on Washington has already exceeded attendance at the inauguration on Friday, according to multiple reports.Â
“Throngs of people streamed into the nation’s capital Saturday to attend a massive march in support of women’s rights and civil rights and in protest of President Donald Trump, far outnumbering attendees at his inaugural festivities a day earlier,” McClatchy News reported.Â
Metro Ridership as of 11am: 275k. For comparison, that’s more than 8x a normal Sat & even busier than most weekdays. #wmata #womensmarch

A city official said Saturday morning that estimated turnout for the march was 500,000, more than double initial predictions. Only about 250,000 are believed to have attended the inauguration.Â
Equally impressive were the massive crowds at solidarity events all over the nation and world: Â
