Will Trump Condemn This Armed March By Neo-Nazi Supporters In Montana?
Organizer Claims Hundreds Will Carry ‘High-Powered Rifles’ To Terrorize Jewish Residents
A neo-Nazi Donald Trump supporter is planning an armed march to terrorize Jews in a small Montana town next month.Â
As we reported last week, Andrew Anglin began targeting Jewish residents of Whitefish, Montana, in response to reports that Sherry Spencer, the mother of white supremacist alt-right founder Richard Spencer, was facing backlash from locals over her son’s views.Â
Anglin, who publishes The Daily Stormer website, posted the names, photos and home addresses of Jewish residents, calling for people to “take action” against them. Spencer reportedly lives in Whitefish part time and is considering running for Congress there.Â
Now, Anglin says he’s planning an armed march through Whitefish in January “against Jews, Jewish businesses and everyone who supports either.” A web graphic announcing the march (pictured, with faces of residents blacked out) included a photo of the entrance to Auschwitz and a yellow Star of David with the word “Jude†printed in it.Â
“Montana has extremely liberal open carry laws, so my lawyer is telling me we can easily march through the center of the town carrying high-powered rifles,'” Anglin wrote, according to ABC Fox Montana. “Currently, my guys say we are going to be able to put together about 200 people to participate in the march.”Â
Anglin said he plans to bus in “skinheads from the Bay Area” for the march, which he said will be “an absolutely massive victory for our cause,” according to The Forward.Â
“We have to stand up to these people, and we have to force an apology,†he wrote. Â
According to the Anti-Defamation League, the nation’s largest Jewish civil rights group, Anglin also encouraged supporters in Whitefish to put Nazi flags in their windows and swastikas on their cars, homes and businesses.Â
“Since Anglin launched his harassment campaign, ADL has been in regular contact with the victim families, as well as relevant law enforcement authorities and other public officials,” the group wrote. “Our consistent message has been that the community’s security is paramount, but it is also vitally important to fight back against the hate.”
The Daily Stormer, one of the nation’s most popular neo-Nazi news sites, endorsed Trump in June 2015, urging readers to “vote for the first time in our lives for the one man who actually represents our interests.â€
Anglin later told The Los Angeles Times that, “Virtually every alt-right Nazi I know is volunteering for the Trump campaign.”
