New Bloomberg Poll Puts Clinton 9 Points Over Trump but the Big News Is She’s Now Winning Men’s Vote
Clinton Now Beating Trump Among Men, 46-44
Less than three weeks until Election Day and Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump in every national poll except one, where they’re tied. But the big news out of today’s just-released Bloomberg poll isn’t that Clinton is beating Trump by 9 points, it’s that she is now winning the men’s vote.Â
Clinton has been leading among women – she’s now up by 17 points in that important category, but men during this race have overall been supporting Donald Trump. But today’s Bloomberg poll has Clinton beating Trump among men, 46% to 44%. She’s also now leading among white women, 46% to 45%. And Clinton has overtaken Trump among likely voters with no college degree, 48% to 44%.
The 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape which allowed voters to hear Trump talk about sexually assaulting women was a major turning point. Trump has denied he sexually assaulted anyone, although well over a dozen women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault or inappropriate behavior. Bloomberg reports 56% of likely voters say Trump’s issues with women are a concern for them.Â
Clinton has also managed to narrow the gap between her favorable and unfavorable rating to just five points. While her unfavorable rating is still high at 52%, Trump’s unfavorable rating has grown to 25 points higher than his favorable rating of just 37%.
