Melania Trump’s Message to Women: My Husband Is ‘Not the Man We Heard on the Tape’ (Video)

‘We Are Moving On’

With just three weeks to Election Day and voters casting early ballots the Trump campaign has decided to have Melania Trump do a media apology tour to smooth over her husband’s sexual misconduct and degrading treatment of women.

After telling CNN’s Anderson Cooper Monday night that Billy Bush was the one to blame for “egging on” Donald Trump and encouraging his “boy talk” in the now infamous 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape that has led to the Republican nominee’s falling poll numbers, Melania Trump headed over to Fox News for an “exclusive” interview that aired Tuesday morning.

“Those words, they were offensive to me and they were inappropriate,” Melania Trump told “Fox & Friends” host Ainsley Earhardt. “And he apologized to me,” she added, saying, “I accept his apology. And we are moving on.”

The “we” presumably was meant to include voters, but given recent polls – now three major ones – that show Hillary Clinton with double-digit leads over Trump, the billionaire’s wife’s choice of pronouns clearly is wishful thinking.

Earhardt also asked Trump what her message is “to women, women voters, female voters, that haven’t been able to get past” her husband’s comments in the 2005 tape, a clear softball gimme to the campaign.

“My husband is kind. He’s a gentleman. He cares about people. He cares about women. He’s not the man that we heard on the tape,” Melania Trump told Earhardt.

Those words are almost identical to the ones she used when speaking with Anderson Cooper:

“He’s kind. He’s a gentleman. He supports everybody. He supports women.”
