‘Egged On’: Melania Trump Blames Billy Bush for Her Husband’s ‘Boy Talk’ in 2005 Tape (Video)
Donald Trump Is a Quarter-Century Older Than Billy Bush
Ten days after the nation heard Donald Trump describing sexually assaulting women in a 2005 “Access Hollywood” tape the Republican presidential candidate’s wife has come out to blame the TV show’s host and not her much older husband. Trump is a quarter-century older than Billy Bush.
Trump was 59 or 60 when the tape was recorded. Billy Bush, who turned 45 just last week, was 34 or 35 at the time.
“I said to my husband that, you know, the language was inappropriate,” Melania Trump tells CNN’s Anderson Cooper in an interview that will air Monday evening. “It’s not acceptable. And I was surprised, because that is not the man that I know.”
She said nothing of the sexual assault he described.
“And as you can see from the tape, the cameras were not on — it was only a mic. And I wonder if they even knew that the mic was on,” Melania continues, suggesting that it’s OK if Trump’s comments in the workplace are vulgar and lewd if they are not being recorded, or that he wouldn’t have described sexually assaulting women if he knew the mic was hot.
“They were kind of a boy talk,” Trump continued, describing what her husband, though not the majority of Americans, said was “locker room talk.”
“And he was lead on, like, egged on, from the host,” Trump said, referring to Billy Bush, “to say dirty and bad stuff.” Bush is expected to separate from the “Today” show with a $10 million golden parachute soon.
