Hillary Clinton Beating Donald Trump by 14 Points in New NBC/WSJ Poll
‘Largest Advantage Over Trump Since the Poll Began Testing the Pair Last September’
Hillary Clinton is beating Donald Trump by double digits in a just-released NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll taken after Friday’s video of Trump describing sexual assault was released but before Sunday night’s debate. Head-to-head, Clinton beats Trump by 14 points, 52%-38%. In a four-way matchup, Clinton still beats Trump by double digits – eleven points – 46% to 35%.Â
Among registered voters, NBC News notes, “Clinton’s lead is 13 points, her largest advantage over Trump since the poll began testing the pair last September.”
Taken together, Rasmussen and NBC/WSJ represent a 6-7 point national shift in a 72 hour period.
That’s pretty much unheard of nationally.

The poll also spells bad news for House Republicans hoping to retain their majority.
Almost half – 49% – of Americans want the Democrats to take control of both the House and the Senate. 42% say they want the GOP in charge. NBC calls it “the largest advantage for Democrats since the October 2009 government shutdown.”
More than half, 52%, say the Access Hollywood tape of Donald Trump talking about how, because he’s a celebrity, he can get away with grabbing women by their genitals, and kissing them whenever he wishes, should be “an issue” in the campaign. 42% disagree.
Less than one in three polled, 31%, say Trump’s comments were “Inappropriate, but typical of how some men talk in private with other men.”
